The flagship RM 008, closely resembling the RM 004 split-seconds chronograph, features a tourbillon carriage composed of 85 components which weigh only 0.34 grams each. When this model was released in 2003, it marked the first new design of split seconds tourbillon chronograph in over 40 years and became the most complex timepiece in its collection. Its intricate mechanics made it challenging to assemble, so much so that only one Swiss watchmaker had the necessary skills to complete its finishing and assembly processes.
